Some children are hardest on themselves.
Petal is one of them. When she and her twin brother Pip move to a new house at the start of a new school year, Pip finds his footing fast: a soccer team, a knot of friends, a place that already fits. Petal is still looking for hers.
So the twins build one. A house of their own, made from moving boxes, cut and taped into something proud and patchwork and theirs. And then, in a hard moment, Petal breaks it.
The Second House is about what happens next. Not the mistake, but the repair. A bigger box arrives. Petal starts again, alone this time, and builds something stronger than the first. Her brother comes back. The second house is better than the first, on purpose, together.
This StoryTime ToolKit™ is for the child who has done something they wish they could undo, and for the grown-up teaching them that a mistake is not the end of the story. The second try can be the better one. Forgiving yourself is what lets you begin it.
Every ToolKit™ includes one Plush Pal™: choose Petal in her pink cap or Pip in his denim cap. Want the twins to build it again together? Choose the ToolKit™ with Both option (+$25) and the whole story comes home.
